Frugal Film Project October 2025 - The Best Camera is the One You Have With You

October was another busy month for me, with a lot of hiking, several theater productions to shoot, my annual Fall trip to Hocking Hills, and the Fall Big Day of Birding. I took my trusty Canonet QL19 and a roll of Fuji 400 film with me on several hikes and also the Fall Big Day of Birding.

Not a lot of narrative for this post - I just shot what looked “pretty”. Most of these are what I’d usually call snapshots, but they were allowing me to be in the moment and just enjoy myself. If I ended up with an image that actually looked good, that was a bonus.

My favorites from the roll are below. Click on the first image to pop open in a new window and scroll through.

I’m still working on my images from my October trip to Hocking Hills, and hope to have those scanned and posted in the next week or so.

As always, thanks for reading.

Jeremy
